Listen: Preview Paramore's Upcoming New Single Now

While the band released a few singles in 2011, it's been a few years since Paramore's last studio album. Those eagerly anticipating the band's next new album have a few months to wait, but they are releasing a single later this month, and a preview of "Now," courtesy of Fueled By Ramen, has made its way online and gives us a small taste of the alt-rock song. Check it out ahead.

Since Brand New Eyes released in 2009, brothers Josh and Zac Farro parted ways with the band, the rest of which consists of lead singer Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York. In the interim between then and now, Paramore released a few singles, but no studio album. Their upcoming self-titled album is set for a spring release. In the meantime, fans will get a small taste of what the bang's been working on with "Now," the single they have set to release January 22. The band's website posted the preview video below, which only offers a small taste of the tune, but does serve as a nice little teaser while we wait for the full version to arrive.

We only get the tiniest hint of the vocals (excluding the Ooohs at the beginning), with most of the sample focused on the guitar intro. It certainly has that Paramore sound to it though, which should please fans of the band who have been eagerly awaiting more new music from the band. We also get some home-video-like looks at the band and (their?) dog as they rock out and goof around.

Paramore (the album) arrives April 9. "Now" will be available to download from iTunes on January 22.
