Prince Harry Is Pumped About Being An Uncle

Prince Harry might be busy with his military service in Afghanistan, but that doesn’t mean he’s not thrilled about the impending addition to the Royal Family. Not long after news of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy broke, the third in line to the British Throne gave an interview in which he gushed about being an uncle, but because of military rules, it had to be held back.

Earlier this week, a portion of the sitdown with the Telegraph was declassified, and not surprisingly, it plays like one giant congratulations. Here’s a portion of his statement…

“I literally am very very happy for them, but I just only hope that she and him - but mainly Catherine - hopefully that she gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother-to-be to enjoy the privacy that that comes with.”

For some people, watching their brother grow up, get married and have a baby might inspire them to do the same, but in the case of Prince Harry, William and Catherine’s life apparently hasn’t changed his desire or lack there of to domesticate at all. He feels no urge to settle down, but he’s optimistic that when he meets the right person, the way he looks at his life will significantly alter.

Luckily for him, he’s probably not going to wind up on the Throne. Therefore, what he decides to do with his life and whether or not he decides to settle down really doesn’t matter. For now, his only real concern is being a great uncle, which he should knock out of the park.
