Hart Of Dixie Actress Jaime King Is Expecting Her First Child

It’s been a big couple of weeks for Hart of Dixie cast members. Late last month, Scott Porter (who plays George on the charming CW series), tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Kelsey Mayfield. Now, HOD’s Jaime King is getting ready for her own big event. While King’s small screen character, Lemon, has been unlucky in love of late, in real life the actress is married to director Kyle Newman and the two announced this weekend that King is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Newman and King have been happily married since 2007, following a ceremony at Greystone Park in Los Angeles, where the two had their first date. They seem to be a settled, happy couple, and King frequently posts pictures of herself, her husband, and their dogs to Twitter, exuding the image of a peaceful, happy life. I’m not shocked the 35-year-old actress and her husband are ready to add a baby to the mix, but I am curious to see how they will play the pregnancy off during the fourth season of Hart of Dixie, which was recently renewed by the CW and should hit the schedule next fall. However, if King’s pregnancy lasts for longer, I could see the network pulling a Bones and airing the new season a little later than usual.

According to The Daily Mail, King confirmed the news via a statement from her representative, as well as through a comment and a photo unveiled on her Twitter account that depicts King, her husband, and her beloved dogs.

“Getting ready for another baby to be squeezed into this picture:)”

King isn’t saying how far along she is, yet, and there are no details on the gender of the new baby. Suffice to say, we wish both King and Newman the best of luck throughout the pregnancy and are keeping our fingers crossed that the whole process will go smoothly. We’ll keep you updated as more baby news breaks in the coming months.
