Members Of Danity Kane Meet To Discuss Reunion

It looks like Danity Kane may be getting the band back together. The all-girl group famously came together in 2005 after working their rears off on MTV’s hit original series Making the Band. The girls had some success with singles like “Ride For You” and “Damaged” before breaking up in 2009 to pursue other endeavors, like shooting naked photos and joining the cast of Celebrity Apprentice. Now, however, the girls have had time to think their careers through and on Monday, joined together for a lunch to consider giving Danity Kane a second go.

Four of the five members of the original group showed up for the lunch in Los Angeles, including the infamous Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres. Unfortunately, one of the key members of the group, Wanita Woodgett, better known for the nickname D. Woods, was not present for the meeting. TMZ caught up with the girls during the meeting, and while they didn’t say anything about Woods’ missing presence, it did seem like the girls were quite content that Diddy was not around, coyly saying “Who’s that?” when the outlet asked about the band’s former producer.

There was plenty of tension within Danity Kane during Making the Band. Diddy was often harsh on the girls, and those problems, along with other issues, eventually led to O’Day and Woods leaving the group. The show tried to move forward, but the whole thing turned into a big firing debacle, with the girls on one side and Diddy on the other. Things may not have ended on a high note, but now the girls seem to be content to meet with a brand new manager and see where things could go. The move could be a smart one, considering groups are making a bit of a comeback, with The Wanted and One Direction making major money.

Besides, Diddy may be out on the Danity Kane moneymaker this time around, but maybe he’ll have better luck on the American Idol front next season.
