Matthew Morrison Pops The Question To Model Girlfriend, Obviously Gets A Yes

Matthew Morrison has found incredible career success over the past few years, and now, he has the life success to match it. The Glee star proposed to his girlfriend Renee Puente this week, and not surprisingly given his otherworldly handsomeness, she gave him a big yes.

The affable actor and the beautiful model began officially dating back in 2011. The two have worked hard to mostly keep their relationship out of the papers, but in the quieter moments away from the public’s gaze, obviously something really special was flourishing. He bought a ring and popped the question prior to the White Tie and Tiara Ball in London last night, and the happy news was later announced by Elton John and David Furnish so the entire room could celebrate. Even cooler, John then invited Coldplay’s Chris Martin on stage, and the two did a rendition of “Your Song” in the couple’s honor, as per E! News. I’m not sure what the aftermath of your marriage proposal was like, but I’m pretty sure it can’t top that magic.

Here’s what Morrison had to say about the big day on Twitter…

After appearing as a guest actor on a slew of procedurals and submitting a brief arc on As The World Turns, Morrison was cast in Glee roughly five years ago, and his entire world changed almost overnight. The show proved to be a big hit, and as one of the older and more handsome cast members, he was consistently singled out for his work. Movie roles soon followed, and now, Morrison’s future is nothing but roses. He could likely work all day and all night with a crazy, hectic schedule over the next few years, but considering this happy life news, one would imagine he’s going to try and find a relaxing balance instead.

Since it’s Friday and we can all use a little entertainment on Friday, I’ve gone ahead and embedded a video of Morrison singing below. He has a wonderful voice, which seems decidedly unfair since he also has looks, talent and a smoking hot future wife. Here’s Morrison singing “It Don’t Mean A Thing”…
