Claudia Jordan: Omarosa's Mom Sucker Punched Me On BET Red Carpet

Observers have learned to expect a bit of craziness at the BET Awards. From brawls to misidentified winners, it takes a lot to surprise people at that ceremony, but let the record show Claudia Jordan and Omarosa’s mother accomplished that task after the two dropped the handbags and went at it on the red carpet.

According to TMZ, Jordan was walking the red carpet when she got into a bit of a shouting match with her former Celebrity Apprentice co-star Omarosa Manigault Stallworth. At one point, the latter even allegedly called the former a “stupid bitch”, but all that bickering wound up merely being foreplay to the main event. After overhearing the disagreement, Omarosa’s sixty-five-year-old mother allegedly cocked back and punched Jordan right in the arm, bringing both security guards and police officers running. Reports were taken. Allegations of assault were hurled, and of course, the whispers began almost immediately.

Jordan hasn’t spoken out extensively about what happened, but she did acknowledge she was hit on Twitter…

She also took this vague and hilarious shot at her adversary too…

Omarosa, of course, was more than happy to sound off about what happened too. She reached out to TMZ after the outlet ran the initial story, and not surprisingly, she used the most indignant language possible to talk about what a horrendous injustice Jordan had blindsided her family with. Here’s a look at her actual quote…

“I am deeply saddened by Claudia Jordan’s actions at the BET Awards. After all that my family and I been through this year. She should show at least an ounce of decency and respect. “

People like to claim the drama on reality television shows is disingenuous. They like to argue everything is contrived and acted for the cameras. Considering how much control editors have and the fact that some programs do reshoots, there’s certainly a measure of truth to that allegation, but all the cattiness and the anger definitely isn’t one hundred percent fake. We know because often the contestants and stars of these shows continue to have very real personal problems and feuds with each other once the cameras stop rolling. This controversy between Omarosa and Claudia Jordan is just the type of the iceberg on that front. Real World star Joey Kovar battled addiction issues on the show, and he tragically died of those same problems. Throughout Amazing Race’s run, numerous couples got into knockdown-drag-out fights and broke up after the show ended. God only knows the relationship bodycount that’ll be forged by the time the program goes off the air.

We’ll keep you updated on this mess as it plays out in the media and down the road, possibly even in a courtroom.
