2013 MTV Video Music Awards: List Of Winners Updated Live

It’s the end of August, which means school is in session and MTV’s annual Video Music Awards has arrived. Like every single installment, the 2013 version promises a mix of fascinating, extremely eccentric performances, a steady crop of awards all involved only care about vaguely and some conceited and absurd speeches we’ll all laugh about in the morning. If all goes according to plan, we may actually get a reunion too.

Because it’s not exactly the Academy Awards, the VMAs will be broadcast on tape delay in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. As such, if you’re stuck on the West Coast or if you’re only vaguely interested in the ceremony enough to be interested in the winners without devoting any real time to it, we’re going to go ahead and update the list of nominees below with the winners.
