Country Singer Jason Aldean's Tour Bus Kills A Pedestrian In Indiana

The good vibes on country singer Jason Aldean’s tour bus were abruptly and tragically shattered early this morning when the vehicle plowed into a pedestrian. The victim was killed instantly from the trauma of the crash, and while not a ton of details are known about what led up to the accident, all involved are very shaken by what happened.

According to ABC News, the deceased's name was Albert Kennedy, and at around 1:28 AM, he reportedly walked into the middle of the roadway. The driver reportedly did everything he could to avoid him, but the efforts were futile.

Here’s what Aldean, who has already had a rough year, had to say on his WhoSay account about the horrific situation…

”With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same.”

The accident took place in Knox County, Indiana, which is where Vincennes is located. Police were reportedly on the scene very quickly and after a cursory investigation, they cleared the driver of any fault, as per TMZ. In the immediate aftermath, however, that’s likely very little consolation to everyone on that bus who feels hurt and saddened by the loss of life.

Every single year, tour buses collectively rack up millions of miles. They also play host to plenty of random fans and serve as homes away from home for the singers and members of the crew. Often, they make headlines for the illegal things discovered inside, but as Bret Michaels and most notably, Metallica found out, they’re not always the safest modes of transportation.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to everyone involved in the accident. Here’s to hoping something good can come out of this.
