Watch Idina Menzel Hilariously Manage A Wardrobe Malfunction On Stage

Idina Menzel's "divas" need their stage! One of them was trying to steal the spotlight during her performance at Radio City Music Hall. How did Adele Dazeem Idina Menzel handle the situation? With humor, that's how. First, she assessed the situation, which from the sound of it in the video above, was brought to her attention by someone offstage. She realized that she was slipping out from under her top. Jokes ensued as someone came to help her fix the situation.

Rent fans will recognize the instrumental music that's playing in the background while this ordeal is happening. Idina Menzel played Maureen in the original Broadway cast of the beloved 90s musical, and "Take Me or Leave Me" is certainly one of the more aggressive and sexually charged tunes, as Maureen and her girlfriend Joanne argue-sing throughout the number. "This diva needs her stage," is one of Maureen's lines in the song, hence Menzel's joke about her breasts trying to claim their own stage, as one of them threatened to drop out from under her top.

Whether or not the video has made it to television yet, we're not sure, but it has most definitely gone viral, racking up more than 2 million views since it went live last week.

Menzel's humorous approach to the situation, even as a woman rushed to her aid to adjust her costume, is one more reason to adore the singer, whose star continues to rise in the wake of Frozen. She's been up and coming for a long time really, with starring roles in Rent and Wicked among her very notable Broadway credits. She also performed in Hair (2001), Aida (2001), The Vagina Monologues (2002) and most recently, If/Then, which earned her a Tony nomination. Beyond the stage, she's appeared in films and TV, playing Rachel's bio-mother in Glee, and reprising her role as Maureen Johnson in the feature adaptation of Rent.

As mentioned, however, it's Frozen that's contributed to her popularity spike in the mainstream, as Menzel voiced the part of Elsa and blew us away with her performance of "Let it Go." With the momentum from the Disney movie and the buzz about her latest Broadway role, Menzel made even more headlines at the Oscars earlier this year, thanks to John Travolta butchering her name when he introduced her to the stage. That little flub is still getting laughs. Watch how she was introduced at the Tony Awards earlier this month.
