Why Khloe Kardashian Announced Her Pregnancy On Instagram

Khloe Kardashian on Ellen

While the Kardashian and Jenner families are no strangers to publicity and fame, the conversation around their celebrity has changed a bit in the past few months. There are a ton of babies on the way, ranging from two to three. Kim Kardashian is expecting her third child with Kanye West via a surrogate, Kylie Jenner has been long rumored to be expecting, and Khloe Kardashian recently announced her own pregnancy with boyfriend Tristan Thompson. While Khloe's pregnancy was also rumored for a few months, she ultimately took matters into her own hands by sharing a pregnancy photo in Insta. She recently revealed why she went with this type of announcement, saying:

I just wanted to do something myself, and write something that was heartfelt for me. I've wanted to have a baby for so long, and it's just the perfect timing in my eyes. God always has his plans. I just want to do it on my time, and when I felt comfortable to do so.

It looks like Khloe Kardashian wanted to announce her pregnancy on her own terms, and therefore had to stay on the down low for a period of time. And for someone who spends so much of her time with cameras pointing toward her, she's entitled to a bit of privacy during this exciting time in her life.

Khloe Kardashian opened up about her pregnancy through a series of segments on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. This was her first major on camera appearance since making her pregnancy public, and Degeneres had plenty of questions about the inner workings of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Ellen even tried to get Khloe to spill some tea about Kylie's disappearance from the public eye and rumored pregnancy, to no avail. Everything from Kylie's social media, including the color of her Christmas tree ornaments, has been dissected by the fans, who are waiting with bated breath for another announcement from the family.

Like Kylie, Khloe Kardashian was laying low in the months before her pregnancy announcement. But while Kylie was completely absent from the annual (and often viral) Kardashian Christmas Card this year, Khloe did make appearances-- often while holding some of the kids of the family over her midsection. This was no doubt another attempt for Khloe to keep her privacy, while enjoying the excitement (and morning sickness) that comes with the early stages of her pregnancy.

You can check out Khloe's conversation from Ellen below.

With Khloe's bun in the oven out of the bag, all eyes are on Kylie Jenner to finally return from her seclusion and possibly announce plans for a child of her own with boyfriend Travis Scott. We'll just have to see if that announcement comes form her personal Instagram, or in a future episode of Keeping up with The Kardashians.
