Actress Jessica Alba has promised her upcoming nuptials to fiance Cash Warren won't be an extravagant affair - because her family "hate" weddings.

The mother-to-be, who is currently in her second trimester, insists the couple's plans for their big day are relatively low-key - and may not even involve a formal ceremony.

She tells British magazine New!, "I am probably going to get my certificate at the City Council, throw a big party for the family and that's about it.

"Everyone I know hates weddings. I've been to very big, beautiful and romantic weddings but I would rather just throw a big party." (PAW/SPNK/MT)
