Amanda Bynes Busted For DUI, Rocks Pink Hair In Mug Shot

In an arrest sure to make everyone who watched ‘90s Nickelodeon feel really old, former All That star Amanda Bynes was apprehended this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence. The actress was reportedly in West Hollywood around 3 AM when she hit a police car while trying to pass it. Not surprisingly, she was immediately pulled over by the annoyed officers. After the standard interview, the authorities determined she wasn’t in the right frame of mind to drive and took her down to the station where she was later charged and released on five thousand dollars bail.

According to TMZ, Bynes has been going out a lot more recently. One of the outlet’s photographers supposedly even tried to stop her from driving on St. Patrick’s Day but to no avail. Considering she hasn’t yet spoken publicly about that incident or the current charge pending, it’s hard to know whether her behavior amounts to a bad couple weeks or a reckless pattern indicative of a larger problem.

There’s no word yet on whether Bynes will plead out or attempt to fight the allegations, but if she chooses the former, it’s unlikely she’ll spend any time in jail. DUI arrests are being taken far more seriously, but since the actress doesn’t have a history of problems, it’s hard to imagine she’d wind up with more than probation and/ or a suspension of her license. We’ll keep you updated if more information becomes available prior to her next court appearance.
