The Internet rumor mill had a good few weeks, declaring Bon Jovi dead, affirming Beyonce’s baby has already been born and deciding it was a girl. It didn’t take long for those same rumor mills to tumble, which means we are still waiting for tha Carter, junior.

In lieu of the birth of their baby, the couple doesn’t seem to be slowing down a bit. They were especially moving on New Year’s Eve, when Beyonce and Jay-Z headed to a restaurant in Brooklyn to take in the scene and eat some good old-fashioned fried chicken. What’s small and squishy and apparently a natural foil for fried chicken? Oysters. Between those two main food items, the couple enjoyed a hearty meal.

But the real glory of the night was not the food and was, instead, the costume Beyonce was wearing. According to People, the singer and actress was seen decked out, even wearing heels. And not the demure, kitten heels one would expect a pregnant lady to be rocking out close to her due date. We’re talking the type of heel that would be described as “sky high.”

Later that night, the couple headed to Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles,’ apartment where they rang in the New Year with several other guests. Kudos to Beyonce for sticking with an undeniable sense for fashion even when she is close to the date. Not just that, but managing to get up, get dressed, and go out for a long night at this stage in her pregnancy. It’s pretty impressive, but maybe that’s what we should come to expect from a woman who has worked it all out, and written a song about it, too.
