Breakfast Food: Better In The Morning Or The Evening?
By Mack Rawden 4 years ago
I love to make breakfast. If given the choice between eating an obnoxiously large meal in the morning or in the evening, I would always choose waffles and bacon in the AM. There's just something about it that feels homey and satisfying. In fact, until I left for college, I ate a full breakfast every morning. Whether it was homemade bacon, egg and cheese biscuits or pancakes with powdered sugar, I never left the house without scarfing down at least two eggs.
Then I grew up and to my horror, found I was the exception to the rule. Most people don't eat full breakfasts. They have a bowl of cereal and go about their days without the slightest tinge of regret. In fact, my fiancée won't even eat breakfast when I make it in the morning. She likes breakfast food but only as a now and again thing at dinner. She would rather eat biscuits and gravy at night, which strikes me as all sorts of wrong. I tried complaining once to a friend, and that bastard laughed at me. Of course breakfast food is better in the evening. You actually eat it in the morning? Yes, I do because I'm a decent and sensible human being, asshole.
In the interest of total honesty, I must admit, I have recently started making breakfast at night. It's delicious, just as I suspected, but I'm still of the opinion that eggs are far better after one first wakes up in the morning. Any other time just upsets the natural order.
So, all that begs the question, when would you rather eat breakfast food? Are pancakes better in the morning or in the evening? Vote in the poll below and let me know what you think…
