Britney Spears Shells Out Cash In Perfume Lawsuit

published: 2012-02-18 10:53:00
Britney Spears is no stranger to lawsuits. The “I Wanna Go“ singer was once sued by her former bodyguard for being smelly, a lawsuit that is far more laughable than the one the singer recently faced. This time around, the lawsuit was over a product that made Spears smell oh so nice.

If you have caught whiff of Elizabeth Arden’s team up with Spears, a perfume brand called Radiance, you have smelled the byproduct of a ten million dollar lawsuit. Brand Sense Partners was upset with Spears and her father, Jaime, for supposedly cutting them out of the perfume deal where Brand Sense Partners acted as the middle man and introduced the pop star to Elizabeth Arden.

According to the lawsuit which was filed last March, Spears and her father allegedly owe the company 35% of the Spears’ profits from Radiance – money that was never paid. Now, Dailymail is reporting the singer has agreed to fork over Brand Sense Partners a hefty sum of money, as well as commission over the next few years. Though we do not know the exact amount of the payoff, the fact Spears was so willing to pay seems to point to a bit of wrongdoing on her part or her father’s. Regardless of why they felt they may have been at fault , this lawsuit appears to be one of the few Britney-related cases in which the plaintiff was right to raise a stink.
