Brooke Mueller Could Get Her Kids Back In December
Brooke Mueller has kept her nose clean and her eyes focused on a reunion with her kids since she ran into some personal problems back in May. In the time since, her four-year-old twin boys Max and Bob have been staying with Charlie Sheen’s other ex-wife Denise Richards, but if all goes according to plan, Brooke could regain full-time custody of the kids after a hearing in December.
According to Radar Online, Brooke has passed all of her court-ordered drug tests in the past few months, and her behavior has been stellar during all of the supervised visitations she’s had with the children. Because it’s the goal of the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services to reunite mothers with children whenever possible, every attempt will be made to eventually get the little ones back to Brooke, but in order for that to happen, she will need to convince the court she’s not going to relapse again.
The idea that a woman’s children could be given to her ex-husband’s other ex-wife would sound ludicrous in most parts of the country, but in Hollywood, it’s not nearly as wild. More importantly, it actually seems like the right answer in this situation. Denise has looked after the kids on multiple occasions, and considering she’s raising Bob and Max’s half-siblings and lives right down the street from their father Charlie, it actually makes a whole lot of sense. By all accounts, she’s a very good and very stable mother, and she’s happy to take care of the bunch.
That being said, it would still be best for everyone involved if Brooke could finally remove drugs and alcohol from her life once and for all. She’s done it for decent-sized stretches before, but it’s not good for her children if she spends the rest of her life in and out of rehab. They need some stability, and she would be a whole lot happier if she could find it, as well.
