There is a distinct similarity between the rap groups LMFAO and Wiz Khalifa. Both groups seem to cash in on the catch phrase “let’s get fucked up” so willing college students will buy their albums without ever questioning whether or not the “music” is actually good. For as entertaining as those aforementioned artists may be, they really don’t seem like anything that is worthwhile, but damn do they make a lot of money. Das Racist is the next group to spread its wings in hope of having the same stroke of luck. Releasing their first LP Relax on September 13th, the Brooklyn, New York rap trio will be preparing for their largest tour to date. For those interested in seeing them, the “hahahaha, jk?” hit-makers will begin their six week venture in Philadelphia and end in Portland, Oregon. Check out the dates below:

This tour will see the group headline in Miami, Florida for the Langerado Music Festival as well as the famous Bowery Ballroom in their home town. Even though the tour is mostly on the east coast, folks in California will also have the chance to see this group live with four dates across the west coast. The funny thing about all this is that they have not released their first album yet. The group has made two mix tapes that have been circulating the web for almost two years and n 2008, released the Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell EP that was a smash hit among 20 somethings.

Even though you may not like them, and you know I don’t, Das Racist still has a large following. Their debut effort hasn't even come out yet, but fans will likely show up in droves anyways. Does that say something about their fan base? Check out the new single "Michael Jackson" from their yet to be released record.
