Carnie Wilson's Weight Battle Continues
Brian Wilson's singer daughter Carnie is battling with her weight again, eight years after she underwent a gastric bypass operation.
The 39-year-old was told she'd die if she didn't have the 2000 surgery - to help her shed weight - but she has started piling on the pounds again, blaming a slow metabolism and the birth of her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lola for her latest weight woes.
Speaking out after unflattering images of her appeared online, Wilson says, "I've hit rock bottom with my weight. Everyone can see that I'm bigger, but I cannot hibernate. I've never lied or been dishonest about what's going on in my life."
"Even all these years later, having had such a great weight-loss story, being back in this place is so familiar. And it hurts. I don't want to feel this way anymore. It doesn't feel good when you have to struggle to get your pants on."
"For the past two and a half years, I haven't slept. I am convinced there has to be a link between sleep deprivation and a slower metabolism."
Wilson is desperate to add to her family with musician husband Rob Bonfiglio - but knows she needs to slim down first. She adds, "I'd like to lose 45 to 50 pounds and then try to get pregnant again. I know I will do it." (IG/UO/GES)
