Charlize Theron Does Not Envision Herself Having Plastic Surgery
Charlize Theron has been running around like a chicken with her head cut off to do promotion for the upcoming flick Snow White and the Huntsman. Because she is set to play an evil queen with a beauty complex, a lot of questions thrown at her in interviews seem to at least have something to do with looks. A few weeks ago, Theron spoke out about missing teeth in her youth. A few days later, photo poses came up. Now, the 36-year-old actress has spoken out about going under the knife.
Queen Ravenna in Snow White and the Huntsman may have a beauty conflict, but Theron’s actual experience is very dissimilar, although she does find herself waking up and learning to deal with new lines in her face. The actress recently spoke with Interview Magazine to discuss her feelings on aging, despite the Hollywood outlook.
“It's hard, though, in this industry, because I think so much importance is put on how you look, and I'm not brave enough to be like, "You know what? I'm just going to let it happen. Whatever. I'm so cool with every line on my face." There are days when I definitely look in the mirror and go, ‘All right, I need to find a cream.’”
Regardless of the changes, Theron feels she will probably never go through plastic surgery—although she readily admits she is still in her thirties and that outlook could potentially change later on in her life.
“I can't foresee myself ever going under the knife, but then again, I'm only in my mid-thirties. Maybe it's different when you're in your mid-sixties. I don't know, so I don't want to make statements about where I'm gonna be in 30 years.”
Charlize Theron’s a beautiful woman, and its nice to see she seems to have a good grip on who she is as a human being and where she can go, regardless of a few wrinkles. Whether or not she decides surgery is an option one day, I highly doubt this will have an effect on the types of women she chooses to play in films.
