Movie star Don Cheadle has been given 30 days to take care of his medical affairs before serving on a Los Angeles jury.

The Hotel Rwanda star was in court on Wednesday (17Sep08) as a potential juror in a car theft case.

But Cheadle told the court he wouldn't be able to serve on the jury because he has a pressing surgery session on Friday (19Sep08).

He was allowed to skip the jury selection process, but told he must return to court in 30 days to be considered for another case. (KL/WN/LJ)
