Check Out This Montage Of Crazy Russian Car Accidents

Dashboard cameras might be extremely rare in the United States, but in certain parts of the world, a very high percentage of drivers have them. Most of the time, the footage is only used for insurance purposes, but now and again, the cameras catch something YouTube worthy---like a plane crash or an all-time classic reverse maneuver.

Armed with this knowledge, YouTube user 1nikol111 recently decided to check out as many dashboard camera videos he could find with an eye toward creating a nutso compilation. His plan worked. He found truk collisions, automobile collisions, close calls and possible deaths. The resulting footage, which was placed online a few weeks ago, has already generated more than 1.5 million views, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

Some driver’s educational classes show documentaries on the consequences of speeding or driving recklessly, but if they showed crazy montages like this, I’m pretty sure it would stop at least a percentage of young people from acting like douche bags behind the wheel. Worst case scenario, it would at least give them something to think about.

Here’s to hoping more dashboard camera highlight films start pouring in from other countries with an eye toward figuring out which nation houses the most idiots.
