Controversy Charlie

Charlie Sheen has gone totally bonkers and is giving radio interviews to prove it.

In a recent interview on The Alex Jones Show, the “Two and a Half Men” star revealed his true feelings about the 9/11 disasters: "It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box-cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75 per cent of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory.” That’s right, Charlie thinks the U.S. Government is behind the thousands of deaths that occurred on 9/11/2001.

According to Sheen, the destruction of the twin towers in New York was really an act of “controlled demolition” and not a terrorist attack at all. I’m not sure if the images of planes flying into the towers were real according to Sheen or incidents of Wag the Dog style media-manipulation, or if Sheen thinks the fourth plane really crashed in Pennsylvania or was just a setup so that Oliver Stone and Paul Greengrass could make major motion pictures, but apparently the government was behind the whole thing… you know, because the government is a big supporter of Stone these days.

Sheen carries his theory on to the attack on the Pentagon, stating the aerodynamics of the attack don’t add up: “Just show us how this particular plane pulled off these maneuvers... It is up to us to reveal the truth. It is up to us because we owe it to the families, we owe it to the victims, we owe it to everyone's life who was drastically altered, horrifically, that day and forever. We owe it to them to uncover what happened.”

Yeah, we may owe it to the victim’s families to reveal the truth, but somehow I don’t think it’s going to be discovered by a guy who earns his living as a womanizing drunk in front of a laugh track. Maybe public comments like this will earn Sheen a part on Stone’s 9/11 film, but it’s unlikely any families who suffered a loss on 9/11 will be knocking on Stone’s door to thank him any time soon.
