Giuliana Rancic Is Going To Try In Vitro Fertilization Again
Infertility is a weird and complicated problem - and I don’t mean just medically. It’s one of those things that always seems to strike the ‘wrong person’ -- so to speak. While some parents are able to pop out a dozen children, name them all after a Brady or Kennedy and then emotionally abuse them for 18 years apiece, others struggle to give birth to just one child. Granted, the world has bigger problems, and while this is certainly sad, it’s not to say that the human race will cease to exist because of a few families' infertilities. It’s for this reason that it can be difficult for some -- myself included, to feel pity for celebrities who have everything, except for a kid, of course. Maybe Giuliana Rancic should pull a Geppetto and give The Blue Fairy a try.
The “Celebrity Babies” domain on People broke the story that Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill will try in vitro fertilization one more time, and if that doesn’t work they’ll give adoption a go. Speaking on the issue, Giuliana said,
“One time sadly we miscarried and the other time didn’t work, so it’s been really tough. We’re going to do IVF another time in the near future because our doctor suggested, ‘I think I can get you pregnant.’”On a trip to Italy, part of their “year of doing “fun stuff” (paraphrasing, but you get the gist of it) Giuliana felt very connected to Naples, where she’s originally from. This has made her ponder the possibility of adopting an Italian, which apparently created some sort of outcry on Twitter, as just about everything does. While I personally couldn’t give less of a damn about where this woman adopts a baby from, it does seem to make more sense to me that someone who can actually afford to adopt from another country should do so. Seriously, I could practically adopt an American kid, so let the celebrities save these kids from the rest of the world -- right?
As with most People fluff pieces, it focuses on the celebrity’s “upbeat attitude”, which is where Giuliana waxes poetic about doing fun stuff, and taking some time off. Ah, the life of a celebrity. Thank God she’s not trapped in her own home, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- right, Matt Damon?
