Sorry Notebook fans. On screen chemistry doesn’t always translate to eternal bliss. Movie stars Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling have broken up for the second time. The gorgeous celebrity couple originally got together back in two thousand and four but split because of their hectic schedules. They reunited earlier this year--but, well, that’s obviously been a bust.

According to US Weekly, an inside source blamed the break-up brouhaha on Rachel’s controlling nature, which, it must be said, should come as no shock to anyone who saw Mean Girls. Normally, I get a little morose when famous relationships implode, but I never really had anything invested in this hook-up. Ryan Gosling’s a great actor, but he was a terrible cornerback in Remember The Titans. That’s unforgivable.

Never count out the backslide, though. It happened to Gosling and McAdams once; it might happen again.
