Hugh Hefner has given Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. his seal of approval to portray the Playboy boss in a planned biopic.

Iron Man star Downey, Jr. has previously expressed an interest in taking on the lead role in the aging lothario's life story, and he's been given the thumbs up from Hefner himself.

Hefner tells Hollyscoop.com, "Downey and I have talked about it and it is a very real possibility. He's a marvelous actor and I would be honored if he decided to do it." (MT/WNWCPAB/IG)
