Jennifer Lopez's Video Shoot Interrupted By Gunshots
By Mack Rawden 2 years ago
The amount of time Jennifer Lopez spends on the set of her music videos typically depends on how fast she and the other dancers can get down the choreography and how many different locations and set-ups the director wants to do. Yesterday, she left the Fort Lauderdale set of “Live It Up” remarkably early, but unfortunately, the timing had nothing to do with how quickly filming went.
According to US Magazine, Lopez was in the middle of an interview during a break in shooting when shots rang out in the immediate vicinity of the set. Security quickly grabbed J Lo and ushered her to safety. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the apparent altercation, and all that was really lost was some valuable shooting time.
Here’s what the interviewer in question, Rob Marciano from Entertainment Tonight, had to say…
Sometimes, when a celebrity is in the vicinity of a shooting, a case could be made that said celebrity shouldn’t have been out so late or shouldn’t have been in a certain neighborhood. None of those elements are in play here. J Lo was on a beach in the middle of the afternoon for work, and she was interrupted by the poor mistakes of others.
For the past few weeks, rumors have swirled that producers approached Lopez about replacing Mariah Carey. Whether that’s true or not, she seems content to hang out with boyfriend Casper Smart, continue raising her children and record more music.
Here’s to hoping J Lo’s future video shoots are a little less eventful.
