Jessica Simpson Is Setting Small Goals To Lose Weight

The last five pounds are always the hardest to lose. Having added exercise and portion controlled meals, it takes a little something extra to reach the finish line. At this point however, Jessica Simpson isn’t worried about that last stretch. She’s focused on simply getting to that problem, which involves losing a few dozen pounds of pregnancy weight.

In order to help her along the way, the starlet joined Weight Watchers along with a few of her friends yesterday, and she’s already set mini-goals for the long process. The combination actress/ singer and reality star recently told People she wants to stay motivated and celebrating little achievements will help. That’s why she’s not fixating on a target weight but rather trying to lose a few pounds at a time to get the momentum churning.

"There's not a goal weight – I just want to feel normal and fixate on inches. I really want to set small goals, so I'm constantly reaching goals and not looking at something so far ahead."

Given how many incentives Simpson has to shed the weight, I’m confident she will meet her goal, but the general outline should work for everyone else too. Dropping pounds is all about making good decisions each and every day, and measuring yourself not by how much you have to lose but how much you’ve already lost is the perfect way to keep on pace.

Pop Blend sends out its well-wishes to Simpson and her friends as they hit the gym and try to push themselves to burn more calories, at least if they're not attempting to use the same elliptical we are.
