Actress Angelina Jolie has been forced to quit her favourite pastime since becoming famous - staring at strangers on the subway.

The Good Shepherd star admits she used to board trains for the sole purpose of observing ordinary folk going about their lives. However, she regrets her famous face now makes this particular hobby wholly impractical.

The 32-year-old says, "My favourite thing used to be to just sit on the subway and watch people; just walking by myself everywhere and living among people and watching them.

"And I lost that. It was the hardest thing to lose, and I think that does affect you." (MJ/EH/TN)
