Julien's Is Suing Evander Holyfield's Assistant Over Botched Auction

Later this year, Julien’s Auctions was planning to sell off many of the treasures Evander Holyfield amassed during his historic career. The boxer’s assistant/ baby mama was contracted by the auction house to figure out which items he was willing to sell and supply a detailed backstory. Unfortunately, there was some kind of colossal miscommunication because Holyfield blindsided the auction house with a motion to stop the sale earlier this month.

According to TMZ, Julien’s spent more than half of a million dollars putting the prep work together for the sale, having the items appraised, etc. Executives aren’t pleased about flushing that money down the toilet; so, they’ve just filed a lawsuit pointing the finger at the aforementioned baby mama/ assistant, Toi Irvin. They’d like her to compensate them for the entire investment, as well as give up the twenty thousand dollar fee she was initially paid for brokering the deal since she told them everything was good to go.

Clearly, this whole mess wasn’t handled properly, but still, Holyfield should consider just moving ahead with the auction. He owes the government a lot of money in back taxes. If he wants to keep an item or two of memorabilia, that’s fine, but there’s no reason why he can’t get rid of ninety percent of it.
