Justin Bieber was supposed to play concerts tonight and tomorrow for his fans in Portugal, but over the weekend, the singerís management team unexpectedly cancelled the second date. The official reason given to ticket holders was unforeseen circumstances, which, naturally, started all kinds of crazy rumors. If sources close to the singer are to be believed, however, the actual explanation is far more logical than crazy.

According to TMZ, ticket sales for the second concert werenít horrible, but the sixty odd percent just wasnít good enough to justify holding a second gig. In all likelihood, more seats would have been moved the day of the concert, maybe pushing attendance up to seventy-five or eighty percent, which, given the size of the venue, would have still been impressive, but in the end, it reportedly just wasnít up to the typical Bieber standards.

All fans who purchased tickets for the second show will be able to obtain a refund at the point of purchase anytime in the next thirty days. Something tells me the true Beliebes will still be a little pissed off about missing the pop star on his trek through Europe, but itís not as if other stars donít cancel gigs like this under similar circumstances during most European tours.

No doubt some will use this as evidence of Bieberís waning popularity, but at this point, thereís really not enough evidence to say these poor sales are anything more than an isolated incident. So, until you hear otherwise, assume Bieber fever is still a pandemic.
