Kanye West And Jay-Z Collaborate, Plan A North American Tour
By Joseph Giannone 2011-07-25 15:13:38
Kanye West is one of those artists who can pretty much do anything he wants. In his free time he has produced over 30 albums, performed guest appearances on numerous records, and found time to effortlessly work on five solo projects and release over 30 singles. It's truly impressive for a rapper of his stature. West’s work is only getting heavier though since the collaboration between him and Jay-Z popped into fruition. The duo has been hard at work on their debut LP entitled Watch the Throne.
The hype behind this record could not possibly be any bigger and it is to nobody’s surprise that with massive audiences behind this project, the next step is to take a tour featuring the material, plus or minus some of the duo’s other smash hits. The two rappers will be playing under the moniker “The Throne,” setting off their debut tour as a group. Jay-Z and Kanye's first stop will be playing on September 22nd in Detroit, Michigan at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Here are the tour dates courtesy of Island Def Jam Records:
The Throne 2011 Tour Dates: 09/22 – Detroit, MI @ Palace of Auburn Hills
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale via Live Nation beginning Thursday, July 28th. This tour is amazing, because we are seeing two of the most heavyweight rappers in the industry pair up for an amazing collaboration that is sure to be a spectacle that won’t be the last of its kind. I can only hope for a further formation between the two because, if the songs have a semblance of continuity on the rest of the album, then I’m sure this will be Kanye's best effort yet.
