Kate Hudson Names Son Bingham, Rate Her Choice
Late last week, Kate Hudson and her fiancé Muse frontman Matt Bellamy gave birth to their first co-authored child. The seven pound, twelve ounce baby boy was delivered in four and a half hours without complication, and mother and child are both said to be doing very well. As for the adoring father, he's been tweeting up a storm, keeping interested fans updated on any and all developments, the most important of which would be the new dude's name.
Up until today, neither Hudson nor Bellamy has spoken publically on what the little guy might be christened, but we have finally gotten our answer. His name is Bingham Hawn Bellamy. Of course, the Hawn is a tribute to Hudson's own mother Goldie, but as to why Bingham was chosen, we'll have to wait on pins and needles for another tweet.
In my first article on the subject announcing the boy's birth, I speculated we'd see something outside the box but not necessarily celebrity crazy. I think this handle falls within that wide window. Bingham is not among the 1000 most common boy's names, but it also doesn't repulse me upon hearing it. Neither does Hudson's first naming effort Ryder, who's now seven years old.
What do you think? Did Hudson and Bellamy do well with their choice? Grade it below…
