Katherine And TJ Jackson Will Share Custody Of MJ's Kids

The Jackson family drama is over, at least in the eyes of the law. Less than a month after Michael’s mother Katherine was temporarily stripped of her guardianship over the late pop star’s three children, a judge has ruled she will now officially share the load with her grandson TJ. The married father has long been considered a surrogate parent to the children. His father, Tito, and Michael were always very close, and he immediately stepped in to help raise the kids after their father passed.

According to E!, the court interviewed Paris, Prince and Blanket prior to the hearing in order to discern who each wanted in his or her life, and all supposedly expressed admiration and love for both TJ and Katherine. The two adults previously petitioned the court to share the responsibilities, and with few objections, today’s ceremony was more of a foregone conclusion than anything else.

There’s no word on how Jermaine, Randy and Janet feel about the ruling, but considering they were recently accused of kidnapping, it’s no surprise they’ve chosen to lay a bit low. Besides, in the grand scheme of things, today’s ruling doesn’t really concern them. It has little to do with the will they’re challenging, and none of them were asked by Michael to watch over this kids.

Here’s to hoping this is the last thing we hear about the Jackson family for some time. Sometimes no news is good news, especially with a group of people who routinely air dirty laundry in public.
