Kristen Bell And Dax Shepard Name Daughter Lincoln, Rate Their Choice

Kristen Bell has had a pretty spectacular month. The movie adaptation of her beloved series Veronica Mars was officially given the green light following a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign, and now, she’s officially a mommy for the first time. The starlet gave birth to a baby girl, and her husband Dax Shepard is pretty stoked about it.

Here’s what the Parenthood actor had to say about it on Twitter

”Lincoln Bell Shepard is here. She has mom's beauty and dad's obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!”

No doubt Bell will be pleased to start shedding pounds as quickly as possible, but as with any celebrity birth-related story, the real piece of information people care about is the name. Considering their personalities, it’s not particularly surprising the actors have decided not to go with something too weird. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean there hasn’t already been some backlash from fans who think Lincoln is simply too masculine of a handle for a girl.

I’ll be the first to admit that there’s something about the name that sounds really pretty, but the image of President Lincoln with his shaggy beard and unruly hair isn’t exactly delicate or sweet.

What do you think? Are you down with Lincoln as a girl’s name? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
