Is Lady Gaga Better Off Without Her Manager?
Lady Gaga has always been a little bit of a weirdo with an artsy streak to her. For a long time, that commitment to originality and variance was very much a positive, but in recent months, it has started to cause some very aggressive backsplash. Her frequent nudity has been taken to task by even some of her biggest supporters. Her strange performances have elicited some claims of boredom, and now, in an absolute shock, the Mother Monster and her longtime manager Troy Carter have decided to part ways.
Neither member of the former partnership has spoken publically about the fallout, but several sources including Showbiz 411 have spoken at length about the separation. Apparently, the starlet began tuning out her Carter when it came to marketing decisions a few months back and without any sign of that lack of communication ending, all involved decided to walk off in different directions.
Now, whether or not this is good news or bad news is a serious matter for debate. There are some who feel it’s without question good news because it frees Gaga up to start taking full agency over her own career. According to Billboard, Carter made as much as ninety-five percent of all the business decisions; so, without him in the picture, Gaga can focus her energy on touring, recording or whatever else she wants at any given time.
On the other hand, however, there are more than a few people who think Carter’s lack of influence over the past few months is exactly what has led to strange things like Gaga sobbing during her recent performance at the YouTube Awards. There are some who think she needs more advisers, not less.
