Lady Gaga has been a busy monster, promoting her 2011 album Born This Way with a lengthy world tour. It’s difficult to keep your little monsters in line without stringing them along with the promise of new material, and that is what the pop songstress has been accomplishing since June. The last couple of months have been chock full of promises from Gaga saying she would announce her new album sometime in September, but apparently she is a pretty antsy lady, because she has already let the cat out of the bag.
The 26-year-old went to her Twitter yesterday to discuss her new album, which has a fairly particular title.
“Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details* good morning Twitter!”
Capitalizing a title is sort of the equivalent to shooting a photo in black and white to make it more artsy, but I doubt anyone would expect anything less from Lady Gaga, who favors avant garde everything to anything plain. Apparently the capitalized title is set in stone, however, because the “Born This Way” singer has already gotten a tattoo of the title on her right arm.
If you happen to have tickets to an upcoming Lady Gaga show, you may be in luck: Reuters is reporting the performer has been playing several of her new tracks off of ARTPOP at each of her gigs. We still may be a couple of months away from a new single, but for fans of the singer’s work, the way she times announcements seems to be just right.
