Leann Rimes Plays First Concert Since Entering Treatment

Leann Rimes might not be finished getting treatment for her stress and anxiety issues, but that doesn’t mean she’s no longer capable of putting on a hell of a show. The thirty-year-old crooner checked out of her in-patient facility yesterday in order to perform at a concert in Wisconsin last night, and early response to the gig has been almost universally positive.

According to People, she busted off fourteen songs in roughly seventy minutes but not before thanking her fans for standing by and being supportive throughout the multi-year ordeal that saw her leave her husband, get crucified in the press, war with haters on Twitter and eventually seek treatment.

"I'm totally cool and so happy; I think I'm about to cry. Thanks for being awesome fans – patient and understanding.”

Much of the set reportedly waffled between old favorites and tracks off her upcoming album. The LP is scheduled for release next year, and it features a harder, more aggressive and more honest side of Rimes. It’ll supposedly address many of the lows she’s experienced the past few years, as well as a sense that, while she regrets how things happened, she doesn’t regret the new relationship and life change that ultimately came from it.

Following more concerts this weekend, Rimes will return to the treatment facility to continue managing her stress. Pop Blend’s thoughts go out to her as she tries to get healthy.
