European pop star Lily Allen has lost her baby. The twenty-two year old was reportedly elated at the possibility of raising a child, but it was not to be this time around. Sources have said she even gave up her partying ways in preparation for motherhood.

News broke late this afternoon, courtesy of The Sun. The sensual-voiced singer is currently surrounded by family and friends, including her boyfriend and the father of the deceased child, Chemical Brother Ed Simons. A spokesman for Lily Allen said the following: “We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.”
