Limbaugh Picked Up For Pill Popping
Rush Limbaugh's pill-popping habit didn't seem to bother his fans the first time, will they stand by him for a second round?
The popular right-wing talk show host was arrested Friday for "doctor shopping" to feed his ongoing prescription drug habit. He turned himself in to police in West Palm Beach at 4 pm, but won't do any time. Money gets you a deal, and so Limbaugh has been released on a $3,000 bond.
According to the New York Daily News, under the terms of his deal with the prosecuter, Limbaugh won't have to suffer much. He'll pay the state $30,000 to defray the costs of investigating him, file a not-guilty plea, and the court will have his record wiped if he stays clean for 18-months. High-prices lawyers pay off.
Rush will be back on the air Monday, and no doubt his fans will excuse him. They've stood by him all along, in an ordeal that began nearly 3 years ago when Limbaugh first admitted his addiction. That came not long after he pronounced on the air that all drug addicts should be locked up. I guess he didn't mean the ones with money.
