Lindsay Lohan: Do You Buy The Exhaustion Story?

Celebrities love to play the exhausted card. You know why? Because framed in the correct fashion, it’s almost impossible to call BS on. Deep down, everyone might think it could be BS, but there’s no way of knowing for sure, especially considering the crazy work schedules actors and actresses often keep. Take this Lindsay Lohan mess as an example.

Earlier today, paramedics rushed to the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey after a hotel worker reportedly found the Mean Girls actress unresponsive. She’d already called the set of her movie, Liz & Dick, to report she was exhausted, but by the time the private doctor they sent arrived, emergency rescuers were allegedly on their way. The EMTs successfully roused Lohan and quickly discerned nothing serious was going on, but as always happens with these things, the story has taken on a life of its own on the Internet with scores of wild rumors being passed around hourly.

To stem the tide, Lohan’s reps put out a statement saying she was exhausted from shooting for two straight days. Coupled with a car accident she had earlier this week and the pressure of trying to play Elizabeth Taylor, I can see how a woman would be driven to her bed. It really wouldn’t shock me at all if exhaustion was in play here, but then again, it also wouldn’t shock me if exhaustion was just a basic, lazy and effective cover for getting hammered or running an illegal mongoose fighting ring.
