Lindsay Lohan Is Fine After Paramedics Rush To Her Hotel RoomAuthor: Katey Rich

Just days after making headlines for crashing her car and then maybe lying about it, Lindsay Lohan got the Internet in a tizzy again today thanks to another brush with disaster. A tweet from Los Angeles TV station ABC 7 initially said that Lohan had been rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina del Rey.
Turns out the story wasn't quite so dramatic-- TMZ, ever vigilant, checked with their own sources, who said that Lohan didn't go to the hospital, but that paramedics were called to check in on her after a private doctor came to the door and found her "unresponsive." Lohan hadn't been feeling well and called the production team on Liz and Dick, the Lifetime movie in which she's playing Elizabeth Taylor. Lohan's rep says it was someone from the Liz and Dick production who called 911, and a follow-up story from ABC 7 has a statement from her attorney Shawn Holley saying that she's now fine: "As I understand it, she was exhausted, after shooting non-stop for 2 days. Someone called paramedics, for reasons which are unclear. They determined that she was fine." Her publicist also noted that she was fine after being checked out by paramedics, aside from some "exhaustion and dehydration." If you're a regular follower of celebrity gossip you don't need me to tell you that "exhaustion and dehydration" are often code for something else, but it's not really up to me to speculate on what might really be wrong with Lohan-- since, sadly, the options seem to be limitless. We're glad to hear of her clean bill of health in the meantime, though, and hope she'll be able to get back to work soon with no more medical incidents. |
