Lindsay Lohan: Would Real Jail Time Be Good For Her?

Earlier today, Lindsay Lohan dodged a huge bullet when attorney Shawn Holley, the woman she recently fired for no reason whatsoever, appeared in court on her behalf to enter a plea of “not guilty”. Had she not, a bench warrant would have been issued for the actress’ arrest, and the prosecutors likely would have thrown the book at her. As it stands now, however, she’s still in good standing with the court and could still wind up with another slap on the wrist, this time on the charge that she lied to police about who was driving during a car accident.
On the one hand, it’s obviously good for Lindsay that she still has all of her options open. She definitely does not want to go to jail, and while she might wind up serving some time, especially if her parole is violated from the jewelry theft case, it’s unlikely she’ll serve any significant amount of time. On the other hand, she’s spent almost the last decade of her life slowly bleeding off all of her money and all of her Hollywood connections. Apart from a few random periods in which she got her act together, it’s been one giant downward spiral. Maybe going to jail and getting the hell away from all of the negative influences is exactly what she needs to realize what’s important. Maybe she needs to hit rock bottom.
