Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has a secret skill - she is a trained hunter.

The 32-year-old's father was a gun enthusiast, who taught Longoria and her three older sisters how to wield a weapon from a young age.

And she admits her outdoor activities as a kid have given her good life training.

She says, "My dad raised us all as tomboys. We grew up on a ranch with cows and pigs and chickens. He took us camping and hunting. He would teach us how to find water, what we could eat from the trees and how to shoot. We would kill the turkey for Thanksgiving, the deer for Easter."

But the Texas-born beauty is keen for fans to know she isn't an advocate of the controversial activity.

She adds, "Shooting wasn't fun and it certainly isn't a sport." (PAW/RAG/MT)
