Melissa McCarthy Refuses To Worry About Her Weight
By Jessica Grabert 4 years ago
As a plus sized actress in the notoriously petite Hollywood, Melissa McCarthy ends up having to deal with weight talk a lot. It doesn’t help that she is designing a plus size clothing line for women ( For the record, I’m super down with the idea – it just adds to her having to discuss weight). A few months ago, she spoke out about how momhood helped her to shed any insecurities about her looks. Now, she’s spoken out some more about her outlook on looks and life.
The recent Emmy winning actress has too much stuff to worry about to be overly concerned about weight. She’s got a full schedule with CBS’ Mike & Molly, but she still manages to spend time each year doing films, with last year’s Bridesmaids under her belt and Judd Apatow’s This Is Forty coming up. On top of all this, she’s busy doing mom stuff with her 4 ½ year-old and 19 month-old kids. Of course, weight is on McCarthy’s mind occasionally. She recently spoke on Anderson about how she would rather keep working on her body without worrying about her size.
"I still worry about it, but I think, my kids are healthy, I've got a great husband, and I go to work every day and do what I want."
Later in the interview, McCarthy sparred with Anderson over some weird bedtime habits and a “one time in college” story regarding her husband. You can check out that part of the interview, below.
