Actress Mischa Barton has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).

The former The O.C. star was busted by Los Angeles police officers after they pulled her car over in West Hollywood at around 3am on Thursday (27Dec07).

According to TMZ.com, 21-year-old Barton - who was listed as 'Burton' on the booking sheet - is also facing charges for driving without a valid licence and possession of illegal narcotics.

She is currently being held on $10,000 (£5,000) bail. (MT/WNWCZM)
