Mitt Romney Takes His Wife To See Twilight
By Mack Rawden 4 years ago
There are a lot of reasons Mitt Romney lost the election, but a strong case could be made that none was more important than his inability to seem like a regular guy. Born to a high profile automobile executive who later became the governor of Michigan and worth hundreds of millions of dollars himself, he failed to connect with many voters on a basic level. Since the moment he lost the election, however, Romney has been more human than ever.
His concession speech was widely praised by those on both sides of the aisle, and last night, he was spotted out and about in Del Mar, California, taking his wife to see Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2. According to TMZ, Mitt and Ann headed across the street following the showing to grab some pizza, and during the meal, they reportedly took pictures with anyone who approached and asked, making casual conversation and sharing some laughs.
Romney may not ever be president, but there’s no reason why he can’t be a generous, well-liked figure moving forward. He turned around the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002, and with his power and influence, he could be a force for good moving forward, both for the country and his own family.
