Lindsay Lohan's ex-boyfriend Harry Morton has publicly humiliated the actress - insisting he's "embarrassed" for dating the star and buying her an engagement ring.

Lohan's love life was a tabloid fixture long before her highly-publicized split from ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson in March (09).

The Hard Rock Cafe heir admits he was swept off his feet during their 2006 affair, and was so smitten with Lohan he considered marrying the Mean Girls actress. But, looking back, Morton is so ashamed to be associated with her long line of suitors, he pretends their romance never happened.

He tells Inked magazine, "I didn't really date her... I really didn't... (It's) embarrassing being known for that. I'd like to be known for stuff I've created or things I've done. I don't want to be known for that. No way." (JMA/PYN/ZN)
