Minor celebrity Lane Garrison may have taken on the part of a lifetime as he awaits a decision in the December 2nd car accident where a teenager was killed in which he was driving.

The co-star of Prison Break is expected to be charged by those very busy Los Angeles County prosecutors with felony gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI and contributing to the delinquency of a minor according to the latest from The Associated Press.

The 26-year old actor was at a Beverly Hills party where witnesses reported by TMZ claim they watched Lane drink several shots of vodka and snort lines of coke moments before leaving the party looking “very high.” Three teenagers left the party with Garrison when his Land Rover jumped a curb and struck a tree killing 17-year old high school student Vahagn Setian and injuring two 15-year old girls. Police said Garrison had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent. The legal limit for California drivers is 0.08 percent. At the scene the actor also voluntarily submitted to a blood sample where analysis indeed discovered cocaine in his system.

Police haven’t made an arrest yet, but the Texas native who plays “Tweener” on the Fox hit show has already engaged a superstar lawyer. Harland Braun, who represented actor Robert Blake in the murder trial of his wife Bonny Lee Bakley before resigning the case had no comment on his newest client.

This is the second time in a week where a minor celebrity awaits charges in auto accidents causing fatalities. R&B singer Brandy killed a woman last month in a multi-car accident caused by her. A $50 million lawsuit was filed on Tuesday against the singer in the crash. She was not drunk or high but her cell phone records are still being investigated.

Both Garrison and Brandy were driving Land Rovers. While considered extremely safe and reliable vehicles, the company might consider installing moron-proof systems to protect the innocent against coke-snorting actors and attention-deflective cell phone users.
