Obama Refuses Lohan Help

Uninterested in appealing to the train wreck teenagers demographic, Barack Obama has nixed plans for Lindsay Lohan to campaign for him. The Presidential Candidate reportedly received an offer from the Mean Girls star to host a few fundraisers, but a few of his closest advisers strongly objected to the partnership. It’s not all a complete loss, though. Lohan will reportedly still attend several fundraisers this week.

According to The Chicago Sun-Times, a source from the Obama team described Lohan as “not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us.'' I hear that. I’ve long encouraged Barack to enlist the services of Corey Haim, Mark David Chapman, and that guy who was arrested but later acquitted for the 1996 Olympic Bombing in Atlanta. They’d really be catalysts for bringing America’s youth out in record numbers.

See: this is the single most positive thing about being a Democrat. You can accept and reject celebrity endorsements as you please. Poor John McCain has to take everything thrown his way--like Daddy Yankee and Toby Keith.
