Juno star Ellen Page will take on yet another controversial movie role - the actress has been tapped to play a lesbian in a new film based on a true story.

Page, who played a pregnant teen in the 2007 film, will star in the forthcoming drama about Laurel Hester, a terminally ill New Jersey police officer who fought for pension benefits for her partner while battling lung cancer.

Page will take on the role of Hester's partner Stacie in the film, reports Defamer.com. (JMA/NYDN/PAW)
